For me, this show carried extra weight. I first saw the band back in 1996, and in 2005, I brought a camera along, capturing moments that stuck with me for years. Walking into this show, knowing it could be the last, I brought that same mindset, this time with a Nikon Coolpix 7700 in hand.
The band delivered a sweeping, career-spanning set, opening with There’s No Future in Optimism and Hold before diving into staples like I Think I’m Paranoid, Vow, and Run Baby Run. Tracks like The Trick Is to Keep Breathing, Not My Idea, and Hammering in My Head leaned into their darker roots, while #1 Crush, Bleed Like Me, and Queer brought a mix of tension and release.
The energy surged through When I Grow Up, Push It, and Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!), with deeper cuts like The Day That I Met God adding weight. The encore, Stupid Girl and Only Happy When It Rains, closed the night with unmistakable emotion.
Led by Shirley Manson, the performance felt both powerful and reflective.
